So, you love singing, but you aren’t sure exactly what barbershopping is?

After all, we’re women, so there’ll be no handlebar mustaches or striped jackets. Well, barbershoppers are people who enjoy harmonizing together.

Barbershoppers also sing a capella, that is, without accompaniment. Some barbershoppers in our chorus also form quartets.

There are four parts in barbershop music: tenor, lead, baritone and bass. We sing a variety of music that has been arranged in the barbershop style; you’d be surprised at some of the tunes we have in our repertoire! There’s Christmas music, patriotic music, traditional barbershop music and more.
